Ellen Paul, Library Director
Ellen is responsible for all aspects of the library administration. Additionally, she oversees collection development and programming for adults and teenagers. Before working at the East Hampton Public Library, Ellen worked for libraries in California, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.
April Hannon, Children’s Librarian
April is responsible for all aspects of the children’s room including service to children and families, collection development, programming and outreach. Previously, April was a fourth grade teacher and worked for libraries in Ashford, CT and Narragansett, RI.
Marilou Overson, Manager of Acquisitions
Marilou is responsible for the maintenance of our catalog and Integrated Library System database. She processes all of our orders and oversees technical services. Marilou has worked for the East Hampton Public Library for over 20 years.
Sam, Public Service Associate
In addition to working the circulation desk and in technical services, Sam works to process our new media. Sam also hosts our monthly Dungeons and Dragons group for teenagers.
Fran, Public Service Associate
In addition to working the circulation desk, Fran leads our weekly Adventures in Reading program for children ages 7 to 13. She also manages our weekly deposit and our newspapers.
Sheryl, Public Service Associate
In addition to working on the circulation desk and in the children’s room, Sheryl organizes many of our programs for teenagers. She works with local partners and the schools to ensure relevant, educational and fun programming for this under-served age group.
Jondahl, Public Service Associate
In addition to working on the circulation desk, Jondahl plans many of our adult programs. She also assists with a number of special projects including re-cataloging and processing. She also leads our weekly Baby Rhyme Time program.
Carol, Public Service Associate
In addition to working the circulation desk, Carol leads our weekly Wiggles and Giggles program for children aged 1 to 2. In the past, she has also provided early literacy program for babies. Carol also processes all of our periodicals and maintains our displays.
Rachel, Public Service Associate
In addition to working at the circulation desk and children’s desk, Rachel leads our weekly Little Learner’s program for children 2 to 3 years old. Rachel also manages our inter-Library Loan program, book club services and assists with our monthly book club for adults.
Chris shelves all of our returned materials in both the adult and children’s library. When there is extra time he also helps with special projects.
