The Library is excited to announce our expanded Library of Things! This is a collection of nontraditional items like home improvement and assistive devices, audiovisual equipment, crafting tools, games, and more – all available to check out for free with your library card. Need something for a one-time event or want to try before you buy? We can help!
Here’s what you should know:
- Borrowers must have a valid Connecticut library card in good standing to use the collection.
- Items are only available for checkout by patrons 18 years or older, unless a Parental Consent form has been signed.
- The loan period on materials in the Library of Things is 7 days and they are not renewable.
- Items in the collection are limited to 3 items per household at one time.
- All borrowers must sign a liability waiver.
- Only some items are reservable.
