Thanks for playing, East Hampton!
Our sweet game of Candy Land is over! Thank you to the over 1,200 families and 3,200 people who participated!
The winner of our Candy Land game will be pulled in a drawing live on Facebook on Wednesday, March 24. Return your game boards by 10am Wednesday to be eligible to win.
This was the largest event in the Library’s history. Our goal was to bring our community together and spread joy during these very difficult times. It took the work, creativity and dedication of every Library staff member plus a large cadre of volunteers from the Friends of the Library. Seeing the joy on the faces of children and adults alike made all of the work worth it.
We sincerely thank the Community Foundation of Middlesex County and the Peach Pit Foundation for providing the funding that made Candy Land possible.
Thank you to the East Hampton Parks and Recreation Department, the East Hampton Public Works Department, the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection for the permission and assistance that allowed us to make Candy Land come alive.
And, finally thank you to the Village Center Businesses: AirLine Cycles, ECO Coffee, Willow, Belltown Therapeutic Massage, and Old Bank Flowery and Greenery for running special promotions and being as excited about Candy Land as we were!
