Scouting Collection

East Hampton Public Library was pleased to receive an anonymous donation to support and establish a collection of scouting materials to be made available to the local community. All items are available for checkout and curbside pickup.

There are 42,000 youths statewide participating in Girl and Boy Scouts including many local troops in East Hampton and surrounding areas. Current and prospective scouting members can check out items such as manuals for all scouting groups, materials to support Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts working toward high honors such as the Girl Scout Gold Award, and every merit badge required to achieve Eagle Scout. Interested patrons also have access to Dutch oven cook-books, scouting lore, and activity guides for Girl and Boy Scout leaders. Families who are not involved in scouting can also use this collection as a resource for family activities and challenges, and to preview the materials to see if scouting is right for them.
