Ever Wonder How the Library Offers So Much Programming for Free?

A big part of the answer is our Friends of the East Hampton Public Library!

Children’s programs, concerts, author events, Summer Reading prizes, museum passes… These are all things that can come with a price tag elsewhere, but at the Library, our patrons get so much of it for free! The Friends help make that possible by funding these programs and events, along with our entire museum pass collection, which lets families visit museums and other attractions at a fraction of the regular cost. They’ve also helped us add fun new items for checkout, like our Tonieboxes and characters.

The Friends’ support allows us to offer more to our community, and we simply couldn’t offer as much of what we do without them.

And becoming a Friend is easy: just $10 a year.

For $10, you can help us offer more, do more, and keep more free for our community. Whether you’ve brought your kids to a program, enjoyed a concert or author event, won a Summer Reading prize, or checked out a museum pass, you’ve likely benefited from the Friends’ support.

There are lots of ways to be a Friend. You can attend monthly meetings, become a dues-paying member, help with fundraisers, or simply join their mailing list and see what they’re up to.

Love what the Library offers? Become a Friend and help us keep doing more!
